Hi there! My name is Jane and I am in my 4th year of the Life Sciences Specialization at Queen's University. I got involved with QPK in 1st year to better understand the diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease that was given to both of my grandparents. Throughout the years, QPK has given me the opportunity to learn from some amazing individuals within the Parkinson’s community - something I am so grateful for. I look forward to the upcoming school year and hope to reconnect with everyone!

I’m Debbie, and I am a MSc student in Computing. I initially joined QPK because it was founded by my friend and I wanted to support, but now being a part of QPK is a passion project, and I’m very grateful for the people I’ve met, as well as the things I’ve learned by being involved in the Parkinson Kingston community.

Hi everyone! My name is Julie and I am a 4th year Health Science student. I joined QPK because my grandmother had Parkinson’s disease and I wanted to help raise awareness about the condition on campus. My favourite QPK memory was doing origami and listening to guest speakers at our World Parkinson’s Day last spring! I am so thankful to have met some great people who share a passion for learning about PD and making a difference in the community :)

Hello, I’m Natalie and I am a 4th year Life Science student (currently on internship in Colorado). I originally joined QPK after finding a passion for Parkinson’s Disease research while conducting research with a professor at the University of Colorado examining the relationship between communication skills and overall quality of life. I have now been a part of the club for almost 3 years and love writing blog posts to communicate cutting-edge research to the general public.

Hi everyone! My name is Maya, and I am a third-year health sciences student. I initially joined QPK as I had previously volunteered with people with Parkinson’s, and wanted to help raise awareness about the diseases. Since then, I’ve learned so much about Parkinson’s and got to meet many amazing people!
